On board the Hooptie Deux, on a stormy Friday afternoon, had to take advantage of the mirror like condition of the ocean. I did take the reverse image to make a composite of both birds in focus, but when I did it, I didn't really like it, preferring this version, the original.

hello fabs. i really like the great egret and the beautiful shimmery reflections. however i'm not really sure that the out of focus reddish egret works for this shot. i feel that the oof reddish egrets detracts from the beautiful egret. i think the egret would look better by itself. just my 2 cents.

nice image. like the way it is posted. both the subjects have been neatly placed in the frame to form a nice composition.

Hi Fabs, I like the mood and the composition very much. I am undecided on the oof bird in front, I wish I could see both versions side by side. Nice way to make the most of the conditions:)

    Hi Fabs,
I really like the composition on this one. The main character in the story is the white bird on top and the aspiring understudy is the darker bird on the lower right quadrant of the frame. In my humble opinion, the frame is balanced. Plus the picture tell the story of the day by the mood that is convaided.

    Very nice...:) Congrats...:D

I'd also like to see a post of the other version. The Great Egret and reflection is fabulous, but I find the reddish egret very distracting.
