    Todd:

Great display of that shoveler bill.

    Drop does add.

Based on reflection, does need a bit if CW rotation.

I like the BG but would tone down the shoot right over her head.

I might be tempted to crop up about 1/2 of the free space between the bottom and the reflection of the head.

    Cheers

I like this image of the Shoveler in environment. Nicely exposed bird with lots of detail and the added bonus of the ripples and OOF reeds in BG to comlete the picture. Would agree with the crop at the bottom which would also eliminate the bright areas in the water.

Very nice female Shoveler image, Todd. I too like the environmental setting and mostly agree with Randy's suggestions, although I am not so sure about the rotation - the water drop looks like it is going to drop vertically and to my eye, the water/reed interface looks level. The ripples may be tilting the reflection.

Hi Todd, good angle showing off the shoveler nicely, and well timed to capture the droplet. I like the ripples around her, and agree this needs a rotation and would also take at least half off the bottom. I would then add a tad to the top, if you have room.

Hey Todd. Nice environmental shot. Can't think of much to add to the excellent advice you've already received.

Tahnks for the comments nad suggestions everyone. As far as the chosen crop, those who frequent the wildlife forum (most of my postings) you will see that I favor fg over bg most of the time hence the framing here. However I do have a bit more room on this and will look at the suggestions.
    Thanks again.
