I managed to grab a few images before this bird flew off, he was looking intently at the water watching the shoals of young fish.
    All C&C welcome.

Nice portrait of this guy Jonathan. Exposure and sharpness look pretty good. Hope you were able to capture the take off/flight images as well.

Hi Jonathan, good to see this guy on a different perch. Well exposed in the bright light with good detail in the blacks. Same question - any take-off flight shots?

Held the black and whites well. Great exp. Nice. BG color. Not sure if a slightly tighter crop could work - a lot of space in the top right corner.

One of my favourite subjects Jonathan:) Well exposed, sharp, and stands out nicely against the water BG. Another member interested if you got the take off shot:w I would maybe take a touch off the top.

Thanks for the feedback everyone glad you liked it. I don't have take off .... but I do have some hovering - just thought I would wet your appetite!
I was a little cautious this time over cropping as last time I overdid it slightly - resulting in image quality loss - I suspect I will have similar difficulties with the in flight shots.

Love the pose, sharpness and exposure. Great light and a nice sky BG. I'd crop a bit off the top, and if your ethics permit it, I'd clean up some of the whitewash. Nice photo overall!

Love this bird (although we don't have here in our country).
He seems very calm, with sharp eyes, perfect exposure and lots of detail.
