Hippos have returned to the Savute Channel:D:D

Here is one about 1km from where the channel flows into the marsh.

Awesome pose captured here Ken. Exposure, sharpness and color look good. Very well done.

Great capture with that wide, wide open mouth showing the large, thick teeth. Can you say "AWWW"?

Thanks to everybody for your comments. Will the Savute become a good and relatively inexpensive alternative to the overcrowded Delta?

Very nice detail and pose...I like the space around and the just off centre is the only cop I think would work in this situation...water splashes in the mouth add...if I was to say anything is a 1 degree CCW rotation...But not sure if that would be too much as it looks like it may just be a half a degree off...And some selective sharpening on the water in and around the mouth to add bit more sparkle to the water ( Really just nit picking)...I like the image as posted...Looks like this guy is quite old and been around for quite a while.

Thanks Dumay, I quite liked this as well

Not very often you see a yawn as full as this let alone in what was relatively a desert until a few years ago.
