Needed to let my imagination run wild after the long week at work. I took the original image of the leaf on a base of snow this afternoon. I used the note paper filter first, giving it added texture. I then changed the BG to pure white and the blend mode to "vivid". This gave the green leaf the final color you see here. I opened a texture BG that I downloaded from the Internet (Shadowhouse Creations) and copied the leaf on top of it and changed the blend mode to multiply (I think!). Finally, added an omni spotlight over the top to create a darker outer area and a small burst of light at the crack of the leaf.

You can see the original here.

Jules, I really loved the original capture, just wonderful! The omni spotlight adds a nice touch. This has a sort of leather look to it. Nicely done.

Just amazing how you can start with a leaf on snow and wind up with this, Jules! Very creative and I like the final result very much. Must give this a try myself sometime. Love the colors.

Nice warm image, like the colors and glow you created. Wanted to look at original, but link did not work.

Very nice! Like light, color, and detail - especially like the snow/ice texture around edge of leaf.
