    Default Northern Harrier

From a recent trip to Northern California, here's a Northern Harrier against a mountain BG.

Excellent shot, I like the detail in the head and also the colours, the eye is pin sharp. Ok the tail isn't but I don't think it matters a jot, great shot.

Doug, very nice indeed. We dont usually see non-sky BG with this angle. Works so well here. Loved the light and sharpness.

Nice gliding action Doug. Like the wing spread and sharp head detail. Good to have some background in the frame with one of these.

Gorgeous background colors and the light accentuates his markings. On the fence about the crop as it feels sorta tight.

Good diving pose Doug, tack sharp, and the clouds add interest to the sky BG.

Very well captured beautiful bird. It is just a matter of personal taste but I would see an horizontal composition with some space ahead of the bird.

Sharp and nicely exposed with some nice details even in the shadows.
