    Canon 7D, Canon 500mm f/4L, 1/1600" @ f/6.3, ISO 400, manual mode

    1/3 or upper wing was clipped during the initial capture and I used the lower wing to replace it....cloned in the remainder of the sky. I also removed part of the branch that extended out of the frame on the right. The image was also rotated 8 degrees clockwise and cropped vertically.

    I normally don't like doing too much to my images in Photoshop but every now and then I will tinker with a file that I think is worth putting in the extra effort into.

    I had wished for a better head angle but it is what it is...he was concentrating entering the nest tree after his turn.

    Nice PS work Duane. Fantastic wing position and fanned tail feathers. Sharpness and exposure are excellent. The stick is a bonus. Agree with your comment about head angle, but I'd be pleased with this frame.

    Excellent self critique, excellent PS work, and excellent EXP and underwing detail. Makes me anxious to get to Homer :)

    Sweet shot Duane the nesting stick really shows the behavior nicely.
