    Definitely a different perspective. What type of goose is it? Good detail in those matted neck feathers.

    The background looks a quite grainy for that ISO, so I will ask about the crop again :)

    I would not mind any crop being a bit looser around the sides.

    I touch more dof would have also got the very tip of the beak sharp too.

    Ian, that is adorable! I do think you got a nice head-on angle. I am pretty sure you've got a blue cast in the whites of the image, though. Agree with Ben that a bit more DOF (or moving the point of focus slightly towards you) would have made the edge of the beak sharper. I think a bit of selective sharpening might tone that right up, though.

    Love it, and the texture of the neck feathers are wonderful. Great portrait shot. What kind of goose do you have here? TFS Ann
