Now that is, a cracking image Robin. Colour looks really good and vibrant, with a nice POV, could you have got any lower without getting wet? :D Always pleased to see diversity on here.

Being really picky, and it depends on your POV, but I might be tempted to try and balance out the whitish 'blobs' and the darker blob towards the top RHC to more within the nice BG colours, but as I say, this is purely my thought.

Very pleased you posted this one.

Wow, could be an ad for Budweiser (do they still use the frogs). Great color and detail. Congrats!

Wonderful image Robin, agree with Steve as it's nice to see the different critters. As you are new here I'll take this opportunity to welcome you. As a different approch to what Steve eluded to re: dark/light spots urhc, perhaps a crop to remove that area adding room below if you have it (I'm a fg element fan as you'll find out). Just a thought to take a look at. Great color as mentioned. Well done.

That's a cool frog. The sky seems to be reflecting in the frogs' right eye, it would be nice to see it in the other

    eye. Good photo.

Very cool Robin, I love it.

Next time you are in such a circumstance and get that image sharp on the eye, refocus on the nose and make another image. Then in PS, bring both into the same image and mask then to extend your DOF. It is called focus stacking.

If Robin had focused on the duck weed just above the frog's nose, do you would the eyes & the nose be in focus at f/8?

I really like this. Great sharpness, good color, a bit of habitat. Nice job.

Something different and the frog really 'pops' from the water. I like the light, colours and sharpness.

Well done on the repost Robin.

    Jack

By the way for my info, how did you put the reflection in the other eye?

Jack I cloned the catchlight from the left eye. Very keen of you to notice that in the original post. I'll be looking for that from now on thanks to you!

I was sitting on the bank of the pond. When I saw him pop up I laid down on the sloping edge on my belly. My lens supporting elbow was getting wet but I could not get any lower because of the downward slope of the bank. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Great colors and eye contact. I like the way the weeds are clinging to his neck.
