D3s & 600 VR at 840mm, 1.4 converter. 1/1000 at f5.6 & -1.0 EV ISO400. Extended canvas to the left hand side, removes spots on the water and just done basic PP work, the light here was perfect. I hope you enjoy.

A mirror image is something we all strive to achieve Vivaldo from time to time and this works very well. It's a pity about the 'objects' (?) in the water breaking up the reflection, but you have to take advantage of these shots when they come up, come what may.

Personally I feel there should be bit more sharpness & detail coming through on the head, especially based on the kit used, this should be a problem.

Like the eye contact and the reflex in the water. I saw it many times around Killikrankie, where I slept.

Great repost on the head sharpening. If you are OK with it, I suggestion cleaning out the spots in the reflection.

Repost is much better, reflections are nearly always difficult as there is often something to mar them.

    Jackals are so photogenic

Very nice light and good work ont he repost. I agree about jackals being photogenic and very very spamrt animals. Hard to get the reflection perfect. Would love to see how it looks if you spend the time to clean it up in PS. Well done.

I like this lots Vivaldo. Well placed in the frame, and the reflection puts this over the top. Your repost works much better. Well done.

Nice light and good pose. I like the ripples coming from the tongue. Tough break on the reflection but I think it looks good as is. I see some repetition in the extended canvas but I can't honestly say I would've noticed it had you not mentioned it. Repost improves a very good OP.
