Love the sharpness, the outstretched talons and wings, and the focused stare. Great exposure too. Maybe a bit more canvas at the bottom, but pretty good as presented.

Given the strong light shadows don't look bad at all here.
My preference would have been to be standing to the left of the bird - this way you are looking at him from the front.

Agree with you Robert. This time of the year, I usually don't like any of the shots taking past 9am on the BE. This is the only wing position that would work around that time, often times, shadows are just too strong..

Interesting shot Troy. In addition to the stretched out wings and talons, the tail is also spread out to max. This really portrays the bird as that great predator it is reputed to be (even though it is a better scavenger than predator!). Nice image.
I think you took full advantage of what the Eagle offered you Troy. I love the concentration on the Eagles face as it's about to "touch down".
