    Default TVs at Sunset

This one is a couple of years old from a trip to Cayo Guillermo in Cuba. Turkey Vultures were a bonus. The forest below is part of a mangrove wetland.

    Nikon D200
    80-400 VR lens @ 160mm (effective 240)
    ISO 100
    f16 @ 1/30 sec

    Look forward to comments.

Beautiful light, Andrew, and yes, the vultures are a plus. They seem to expand the dimensionality of the image by flying toward the viewer at two different angles.

I wonder about a variation with 50% less of the mangroves, to make it more of a pano. Since it's a silhouette anyway, I think the most important part is the top, where it meets the sky, and I think the shape of the image would improve.

I was going to suggest taking 1/2 of the black at the bottom as well.

    Andrew,

This image has such drama... I love the rays emanating from behind the clouds. I agree with the crop on the bottom. Beautifully done.

Hi Andrew, beautiful color with strong rays emitting from an interesting sky. Agree regarding the crop at the bottom. 1/3rd to a 1/2 would do it for me. Subtle diagonal open formation on the birds also...nice!

Color is awesome and the birds do add to the drama. Agree on cropping bottom a bit.

Absolutely beautiful. Loved those sun beams spreading across the scene from behind the clouds.
