I'm not real good with IDing the shore birds, I could use an ID on this one :)

    Thanks for looking

Chad, the light here is awesome, and the tech specs you chose look great. It's really a nice image. Is this the full-frame or did you crop? I'm wondering what other compositional choices you might have.

    Cheers,

    Chad,

Stunning imagery. Lighting is gorgeous. The warm tones blend perfectly. Love the reflection and splashing water. A bit tight on the top, not sure if you have any room.

Overall this is a killer shot!!

Nice image Chad.Great light and dof. I agree with other crop options if available. The centered bird could maybe lose some canvas behind it. I think this is a willet.

Wonderful image I love the light and the texture of the image. I think it needs a slight re-crop to give a bit more head room. It looks as if he has caught a worm of some description. Just love the ripples and gentle colours.

Killer light and colours, and I like the low perspective. I would maybe to the right a tad in the frame.

    Hey Chad,
Pose and action are great here......and I love most of the BG.......a tiny bit higher......and the bird would be in all that sweet light! You can see from my comment above that lower isn't always better.......but others may disagree:D. I still feel this is excellent.....fully in the sweet light reflection......off the charts!

Gorgeous, though I have to agree with Roman. A tad higher and the entire bird would have been in that pretty golden reflection.

BTW, I think it's a Willet. You wouldn't happen to have a side shot showing the full bill, would ya'?

    Default Willet

I think it is a Willet - winter or juvenile plumage.

Thanks a bunch for all the wonderful feedback guys. :)

I had some room on the top and did a recrop, I added some more room on the left and adjusted colors a tad.

Yes, I agree about the perspective idea. that will be in my mind next time :)

Hi Chad love the colours, ripples and mood created in this image. Like the repost compwise but prefer the warmer tones in the OP. TFS.
