    Rakesh:

    He does look fierce indeed.
I like the wings up pose, intense stare.

There is enough motion blur from the slow shutter speed, that you might have been better served to increase the ISO and bump up the shutter speed a bit.

It is remarkable how similar his colors are to the rocks and grasses. Good camo, but tends to have him blend in. A bit more separation from the background would show him off more.

I prefer not having so much printing on the image itself. Love to know what it is, and any story behind the image, but keep the image as clean as possible.

Hope to see more of this great looking bird.

    Cheers

    Randy

Rakesh, great eye contact, and the owl is crouched like a dog about to pounce.:) Those eyes stand out very well, and agree with Randy, that the owl is unfortunately a bit lost against a similar BG.

Rakesh, I can definitely see Randy's and Stuart's points about the bird blending in. That said, I kind of like the camo feel it has. In fact, in this situation, I might have used a looser composition to play with that, making it more of an environmental portrait, say without the 1.4x. Something to consider.

Really cool image Rakesh! Excellent suggestions above. I would also increase image contrast a bit.

I agree with Doug about the contrast, I also dis agree about the shutter speed being higher, I like the blur, it shows motion and gives the image its title well. :)

Rakesh, liked the sharpness and the pose. Agree abt a small contrast boost.
