    Not sure about how to crop this. I wanted to keep the splash of the take off but it places the duck in a bad position in the frame. I have no more room but as the BG is easy I could add more canvas in most places.

    Thoughts and suggestions most welcome

    Canon 40D, 500mm f4, 1.4x TC, 1/640 @f5.6, ISO 100, pattern metering, 45.7 m distant

    I think it needs a CCW rotation . Personally , the splash and the reflection of the duck add a lot to the image . I would have used a higher ISO to get the bird sharper too . Lovely image otherwise .

    Good suggestion by Rakesh about faster SS through higher ISO. I also agree with him about the CCW rotation. Regarding the composition I like where Rakesh cropped on the right, but I would add a bit of canvas on the left.
