    Default Snowies DAPed

I had this high-key image of two juvi Snowy Egrets that I thought would work well with DAP. I used the "Realism" preset to start with. Did some very selective masking with the original image and applied the DAP layer at 67%.

I find that one of the secrets to successful use of DAP is to start with an image with plenty of light.

Nice painterly effect, Kerry. I like those dangling feet. Nice pose; just wish the rear snowy's feet was above the wing. I may also try to clone back/darken the wing tip of the front snowy.

    Kerry,

I love the softness of the effect with the pastel colors. I agree with Indranil about the wing tip as it gets lost in the brightness of the water though the legs behind the wing doesn't bother me. Beautifully done.

Nice effect and softness to the image. I always love to see these birds interact. They look so graceful and I think your filtering adds to the graceful look. I agree w/Indranil regarding the wing.

Lovely pastel rendering, Kerry. Except for feet below the wings as noted, the COMP is wonderful and the peach BG is beautiful. Nicely done.

Hi Kerry, really like the effect on this one. The birds are posed nicely and I too like the dangling feet. Very nice!

Another nice one Kerry! You seem to always use the right amount processing & effects on your images. Does have a light feel and painterly look. I agree with Indranil's critique comments regarding wing and feet.
