Juvenile night heron chasing off a snowy egret from a popular branch. This was taken last August when we had major forest fires in Southern California. As a result the light was very strange for a month or two. Changed the color balance quite a bit to get rid of the smoke effects. I like the wing position of the heron and have considered cloning/cropping out the egret. Curious as to your opinion on that.

    Technical info:
    Nikon D80
    Nikon 80-200mm 1:2.8 (at 200mm)
    ISO 400 f/5.0 1/800 sec
raw conversion in lightroom, further tweaking in photoshop

Cool action photo. The colors do look muddy and off. What did it look like before you changed it so drastically?

Here's the same crop without any post processing (all raw conversion settings at default positions)

Great action picture, shame about the colors. My humble opinion is keep the egret on the shot, the picture "as is" tells a story.
