    Default Moony Night - DAP

    Attached Images Attached Images

Used Starry Night with a few tweaks here and there. This is one of the first runs through DAP. I did 6 or so but kept coming back to this one.

Original is from when we had the giant full moon in December, 2008.

Ken, WOW! I love the artistic look to this. It does look like a Van Gogh. I bet this would look great as a large print.:)

Great! I bet Van Gogh, Monet and others would be amazed at what we are doing with their techniques!

Excellent work, Ken! Definitely could pass as a Van Gogh. :) I do wish the moon was a little more distinct perhaps.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!

Christopher, after I made this version, I tried drawing an outline around the moon on the original so it might look more distinct after painting but the good news/bad news with DAP is that each run is different, even if you use the exact same settings. Even though I did get some with a more distinct moon, I didn't get any versions I liked better than this one. :)
