Good sharpness on the head which is what you want. Depending upon the sensor arrangement you are using, the tip of a downward wing can cause focus shift and loss of sharpness on the birds head.
Looks like you captured him just as he angled away. Keep up the practice because the more you do that better you get. Next time look to aquire the bird as he approaches and fire of a few shots, stop, reacquire focus and make a few more.
Very nice image, if it were mine I would lower the highlights a little bit and make the crop a little less so that the bird was not quite so big in the frame.
Nice head sharpness and good details. I think I would back off on the crop a touch too, as well as hope for the angle to be toward you rather than away from you. But very nice!
I agree in particular with Jonathan and Dan, and especially that the whites on the head and the near wing are a bit bright. And as an aside, the extensive black on the primaries with the discrete mirrors doesn't look right to me for Black-headed, and I wonder if it's a Brown-headed gull.
Thanx everybody on your comments . And thanks Richard i am always confused between Black headed and brown headed gulls please correct my ID if i am wrong .
