Photographed this little female Lesser Goldfinch in our garden today. This is a little different as background was done separetly in free Fotosketcher, and Goldfinch was added using CS5.

Very sweet Gus. The pose, perch and painted BG are all very nice. I do wish she were into the frame just a hair more. Nicely done.
Nice work Gus! I too wish for less negative space. I also would like to see a tiny bit of the sketcher effect on the bird. But, this is your piece! Good work.

Gus, I'd love to see your yard:) The base image is so nice and I like the bg a lot. I think just a little texture on the goldfinch would be nice.

Your style is just terrific, Gus. :) I love the yellow on blue color combination here. Agree with the suggestions already given.
