    Default Dark-eyed Junco in field

Tired of photographing birds near my backyard feeders, I set out to the snow-covered fields with exposed weeds. This junco was feeding with some Tree Sparrows and was very busy with the business of ingesting seeds, allowing me to very slowly approach. I cloned out a couple of grassy spikes above the bird's head.

    All C&C welcome.

Snow makes a lovely BG, Dan. Exposure looks good and nice feeding behaviour. Wonder about cropping a little from above and pushing the BG to a pure white to maximise the high key look - a fine dark line around the edge may be nice for web presentation.

Very nice Dan I like the excellent details and your choice for composition works quite well especially given the pose captured.

Well exposed Dan, and the open beak adds interest. Good suggestion's from Tony.

Good suggestion from Tony to elevate the high key and place a border. Here is my attempt to try that suggestion. Thanks!
