One of the cubs that was rather camera shy for three days, either hiding behind mum (mom), or in tall grass, or just really didn't want to play ball until the forth day towards the end of the day when all three cubs decided to co-operate :). This one had been lying on a small termite mound viewing his territory.

Superb close-up of this lion, love the dark BG. Head angle is still OK but could have been better. Pity that he/she was so shy though :)

I think the head angle is perfect. Why? Because of the eye lashes. And with that dark BG, they really show up as do the hairs on the chin. Superb IMO Steve.

Steve- very cute and well worth the wait to get him in the open. Great detail and very pleasing and unusual bg for the subject.

Nice portrait Steve. Very different bg and works well. Great detail on the lion cub as well.

A nice, simple profile portrait. The BG color is a perfect compliment to the fur.

Great shot showing tons of detail and deep concentration by the cub
