One of the good trips I had last year . Had been to North India , and the sheer numbers of beauties was amazing .
Some Red billed blue Magpies were making sorties across the field . The forest cover in BG made it difficult for us to track and keep them in focus . I brought down the AF sensitivity in my camera and then managed some decent images of the beautiful bird .

Lovely image Rakesh, WD on reducing the AF sensitivity. I see you have a small sharpening halo's around the bird. I like the wing position, Nicely done
WOW Look at those plumes!! Nice head angle. Looks like a ribbon flowing through the air.
I feel the plumes are a little too close to the edge of the frame. Perhaps a a slightly looser crop?
Beautiful bird. I think the downwards wing pattern and long tail complement the background well in the transisition from sky to foliage - that line mimics the shape of the bird. Fruit or nut the bird has a big plus.
Yeah ! I can see the halo too now. Probably because of the resizing to ensure under 200kb . Could have had more room , but then this is a FF image . Was more than happy to get this one . In fact , this is a quite a big bird....it was more of a challenge to ensure the whole bird was in frame .
Rakesh, this is a terrific shot. Good you got the catchlight. Loved the wing position. Good thing he is holding the fruit that way as we can see the bill so nicely. would love to see this 1024-pixels-wide. If mine, I'd boost the color sat a bit.
