Sharp where it needs to be and a spectacular pose. You even got the beak open!

Fantastic pose and detail. The bird is very sharp ESP the eye and love the BG.

lovley. Wow, that difference between the red and black in the wing is quite something.

    Alan:

    Dynamic pose,sharp where needed.

What also impresses is the exposure, so easy to blow out the epaulets red channel, yet you got enough exposure to show details in the blacks.

    Cheers

    Randy

Amazing shot, Alan. Wonderful detail in the blacks; wing spread; open beak; background; head angle. It's all here. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing capture Alan. All said in above posts. Not to overlook the slight barring is also visible on the back of the bird, to complete the birds profile that too in flight.

Very nice indeed. I went out this morning to photograph this species, but found out that it is harder to correctly expose the red color than the black (at least for me). Perhaps because I under-exposed the frames just a tad-
