I have a tree at my local spot I call the Fairy-wren Tree. Nothing is alive on the tree but the Fairy-wrens that like to stop in. I'm in the process of deciding which branches I might me able to remove to allow for nice unobstructed views of the remaining limbs. I don't want to strip bare just trip a few branches.
I personally don't have a problem with selective alterations as long as it doesn't drastically affect the animals that inhabit the area. This is a very popular tree among the FWs and Mannikins and don't want to cause too much disturbance for my own benefit. I just hope the City Council doesn't come along and decide uproot my bird tree :D
As I mentioned I'm yet to prune the tree. I did however remove some OOF branches in the FG and a stick that completely bisected the young birds in CS5. My first rebuild of a bird.

Teeny lift in levels, ever so slightly dodged bird on left's eye , selective sharpening of birds, cloned out sticks, rebuilt birds, fiddled with BG(I like the smokey effect). I'm kicking myself(again) for not stopping down.
Those are about the sweetest little birds I have ever seen. They're wings must get them the name of fairy wren. I assume they are fledglings. All new to me. Not sure what to think of all of your photoshop dialog but the final product is sure compelling. Thanks for taking a Missouri boy on a magical "fairy wren" adventure. Take care.
Well, all looks very sharp and the composition is sweet. like the perch and fairy companions... BG looks smkokey green w/o any photoshop evidence. More please! TFS Ann
They look like very young birds - your image is very appealing and well done. Plenty sharp and no sign of any edits. I hope the City leaves your tree alone :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they youngsters. There's a heck of lot of FW activity at the moment. Lots of young birds huddled up and lots of snuggling in the wet weather.
