    Default Gull ni flight

A Ring Billed Gull from a recent outing at a local lake ... the sky was bright overcast so the required exposure compensation made it blow out completely. Just for a change of pace I treated the bird with a couple passes of Topaz Adjust.

Beautiful pose, Joel. Love all the feather details in the bird. The HK BG is perfect for the image. Very well done!

I like the look of this one including the wing position. What's up with the strange eye??? Did you use flash?

Joel, Nice pose ,details and effect. Maybe a tiny bit tight on top. I agree w/ Artie regarding the eye. I love the white BG.:)

Love the banking angle and HK image, Joel. Eye is funky but that can be fixed. TFS!

Joel, I love the pose and the high key. The eye will be easy.:)

Thanks for looking and commenting, I did have flash with the 580 EXII and better beamer set to -1 2/3 if I recall correctly. The eye sort of became "funky" after going through Topaz adjust. Do you think it just needs to be toned down in terms of brightness?

Joel, I would just layer the original and the processed one on top of each other and reveal the original eye via a layer mask if it were mine.:)

Like the high-key look. The Topaz really makes the gull standout.
