    The Mule Deer moms still watch over their youngsters of the year. There is a small herd of deer that roam through my area here in the Colorado mountains and regularly hit up my bird feeders. I photograph them from inside the house through open windows. Self-critique: I would have liked both ears for the doe.

    Canon 7D, Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS @ 115mm, ISO 400, f5, 1/320

    Comments and critiques most welcome.

    Nancy - touching moment captured. I agree with your self-critique. There also seems to be a slight halo around the fawn's head on my monitor.
