    Default Cormorant splashing

This image was taken today in the late afternoon sun.

There were several Coromorants together on the far bank and despite a lengthy wait they wouldn't come any closer.

I decided to bolt a 1.4x converter onto the lens which is the first time I have tried this combination. Generally speaking I am pleased with the result.

Sharp as expected. EXP good and a nice view of the face and eye through the splashing. I wish that you had been a few meters to your left for a slightly better angle into the head and neck.

I use my 800 with the1.4X II TC about 75% of the time....

    Austin,

I would agree with Artie on being more to the left would have given you the bird coming at you and a better head angle. It is a good looking bird and worthwhile going back if the opportunity presents itself.
