Living in the Mid-Atlanitc region we're not used to snow but over the Christmas weekend we received about 14" of the white stuff. I think the backyard birds enjoyed more than I did. :p

    Hi Duane.

Beautiful blue tones you have here. Very cool how the sky and snow compliment the Blue Jay. Nice and sharp and the calling pose is awesome. These guys up here are hard to get a shot of, rather shy. Very nice shot thanks for sharing.

    Gary.

    Duane:

    Captures the project theme well!

Nice shooting angle, flying snow, open bill, eye.

Excellent exposure, like the detail you have held in the snow.

    Cheers

    Randy

Good low perspective, and the open beak tells us he's excited with the snow. Overall, well exposed.

You took the opportunity for snow images very well...I like this alot! A good dynamic pose, and I like the flying snowflakes. Only thing that could have been better is a more profile view of the body, but hey this is good as is anyhow. Did you attract this fellow with peanuts (they love it up here!!)?

Thank you everyone. As far as the low angle is concerned...I cheated. This was on top of the roof of my home so I wasn't laying in snow to capture this.

Daniel...no peanuts were used to lure them in...I have enough of them in my backyard as it is. There is a peanut feeder (only put out during the winter months) near the black oil sunflower feeder and the Blue Jays seemed to come in landing on my roof first then hit the feeders with all the other birds which are about 30' away.
