    Default Shikra a.k.a. Little Banded Goshawk

    Hi Guys,

    Species:- Shikra a.k.a. Little Banded Goshawk Accipiter badius
    Date:- 7th January, 2011

    1/500 sec, f/8, ISO 320, EC +1 @ 400mm
    Partial Metering, Handheld.

    Canon EOS 40D,
    Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM

    Self Critique:- Full Frame image. I only managed to click 2 shots before she flew off so couldn't get a head separation shot. Will try again next time.

    Comp works well, although a little tight at the bottom. I like the colours, and attentive stare.

    Very nice light and detail..Eye is very prominent...Looks totally different to our Shikra, ours has a red eye!

    The Adult male Shikra has a red iris white the female has a yellow one.
