Hi Steve, Very nice flight image the BG compliments the Owl nicely and really allows the eyes to pop,

Very nice, with excellent eye contact.

I agree the BG really makes the owl stand out.

A very nice shot Steve, but I I think a bit more canvas on the right side, as well as on top would improve the image.

All I can say is that it's a killer shot and I'm quite jealous! I'm still waiting for my first owl shot...

Cool! I love the head-on HA...this guy was watching you! I also love the far wing position and detail. I do wish the far wing was lower, and the light coming from the right placed half the face in shadow. The image also needs 1.58 degrees CW rotation to get the eyes level (I tried in it PS). Nice BG!

    Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all fo your comments and suggested improvments. This was one in a series of three that came out quite good. Strangely enough, there hasn't been much owl activity out at the estuary since these shots were taken. Guess the Shor-Eares got smart and now hunt almost exclusively at night. They sleep somewhere safe during the day where we can't find them most of the time.

    Take care,

    Steve
