Default Cheetah in the pouring rain

    Happy New Year all,

This is an image that I think will look better as a print. Looking at the image here it looses a lot of detail, especially in the background, where the rain detail gets a little lost.

It was chucking it down at times but I was determined to continue to photograph rather than return to the camp.

    Canon 1DMK4, 500mm, 1/125, f4, ISO400

    C&C most welcome.

Another image of soaking wet cheetahs is available HERE

    Cheers

Nice image Austin. The cheetah looks mierable, I know what it feels like living in the pacific nw (western washington). Nice sharpness and color.

You get nice saturation of colors in the rain. I feel the sheet of visible rain really this this image. Plus the rain is coming down diagonally and I really like diagonals in image.

Austin - I think the cheetah's look is "I have to be out here in this rain, but what the **** are you doing out here." I too like the diagonal rain drops/sheets. Great detail and comp.

Beautiful image, Austin! Love the slanting angle of the rain and the (sad) look of the duma!

I really love this image, Austin. I've been looking at it for a few days and haven't gotten tired of it yet. I looked at the other one on your website and really liked the head shake. Great work. Keep them coming!
