    Interesting pose, Jan - defensive? I feel the subject is blending into the background a bit so I would try to isolate it by blurring and darkening the background. If canvas allows, I would position the bird a little higher in the frame.

    I like the way you got both eyes. Good exposure under the wings in the bright sun.Too bad about the clipped wing.

    I would clone out the red dot and the brown piece of bg above its left wing.

    What a great pose, looks like its chasing you away. I would blur the BG some and get rid of the rock above its left wing.
