Default Low Angle Dik Dik Image

I have just had the chance to sort through some my images from my September safari.

Took this at the now flooded Savute.

Used a ground pod & Mount and happily laid on my stomach to get this low angle. Fortunately, the grasses were not too high.

Russell - I like the colors and the comp with the dik dik having room to move into the frame but for me there's too much oof. I think I would crop about half of the oof fg out and go to more of a pano crop.

Very nice image Russel, I like the warm colors and the space really feels good with this one.
Myself, I like oof foregrounds but maybe a little off the bottom might work.

Russel, I agree that the OOF BG is too demanding on the eye. In this case being higher would have cut that back a lot and given the Dik Dik an all grass BG further from the tree line. I think isolating him in the grass would have been the way to go.

I like the stance and concentration on the animal - well done capturing that.

Fine capture of this little guy. I am also a lover of oof fg but this has just a liitle too much even for me. Nice light and color.

I agree with less OOF at the bottom.

Good and sharp where it matters.

Love the low angle and the OOF grass in the front and the blue sky in the bg really adds to the overall feel!

Nice light and color. I do like the OOF grass in the foreground, but I might crop a little more off the bottom.

    Russell,

Just back from Savute, we did not see any Dikdiik as they do not live there this is a Steenbok.

Agree with the comments regarding cropping.

    Thanks for the correction, Ken.

For some reason I had Dik Dik in my head. (Blame Alwyn's guiding)

    How was Savute?
