Well captured. He clearly doesn't look happy but I love the aggressive posture with the bared teeth.

Certainly an 'aggressive posture' with some great detail. Colour looks good, but can help feel the tree and solitary leaf is slightly distracting IMHO, would prefer to have the BG all snow, but as it's captive I guess your POV was restricted.

I think the tree can be cropped out completely still leaving enough room in the FG. Love the look on him.

Nice pose and love the snarl. Don't mind the tree or leaf myself, of course a pristine snow would be preferable - don't always work that way though :( Well done.

Robert was right. Here is the crop as he suggested. The snout now is also perfectly on a rule of thirds intersection. Not sure why I didn't think of cropping out the tree myself... :o

    Thanks a lot! JR

Thank you all for the kind feedback. Hopefully some of you have the opportunity to see also the repost.

Then, I chose the image of course for the seemingly aggressive nature. But truth to be told is that he was at the end of a big yawn. :)

    Best, JR

Joerg the repost is far stronger overall and is now an impressive image.

    Well done.

I'm not really an expert - but the tail between the legs shows that the wolf is not in an aggressive stance. So three-quarters through a yawn by a relaxed wolf is definitely what Joerg photographed. (See http://www.timberwolfinformation.org...e/postures.htm for pictures of wolf body language if you are interested). Beautiful lighting Joerg and I really like the repost. Lovely action portrait.

Excellent detail and the snarling pose takes it over the top...Agree on the tree on the LHS should go...But a wonderful image you have here!

Great color and I love that expression! Like the cropped version, which really emphasizes the face.
