    Default Mountain Bluebird

I got lucky with this bird because of the natural perch and background. The bird also managed to sit still long enough to try out different compositions.

    Technical: 1D4, 800, f/10, 1/320s, ISO 400.
Post: A little bit of cropping, tone curve adjustments, selective sharpening. Background has a very slight selective vignette applied too.

Aravind what a beauty, sharp, great eye contact with good detail and excellent colours. I like the fluffed chest feathers. Composition is good but might consider taking a little off the bottom to just above the OOF green moss on the perch.

Beautiful image all around. Tack sharp and color is outstanding. I might just tone down the moss a bit as I find it a touch bright.

Arvind, terrific sharpness and shades of blue. Good bird angle as well. Moss looks great too. exposure looks spot on.

But, the way the bird is perched, I'd definitely prefer the traditional horizontal format. It would also eliminate the problem of OOF perch and moss at the bottom.

Thanks. I have a few images in a more traditional horizontal format. I will play with those as well.

Here's a more traditional landscape orientation, from a different frame in the series.

The colours of the bird and moss work so well together and the BG is OK too:p

Another vote for the re-post. I like the extra room around the bird. Colors are wonderful and very sharp image.
