    Default Great Egret landing.

Made at Brazos Bend SP Texas. Cropped, added Gaussian Blur and grain in PP with NX 2. Used an AF 75-300 @300 f8 ss 1/640 ISO 200 on a tripod.

Jim, Beautiful pose and I like the head angle. Seems a touch tight in the frame and I might tone down some of the whites if it were mine. I think you did a good job with fading out the BG, I might evict the one stem near it's beak.:) These birds are so graceful and your landing pose really captures their graceful look very well.

Excellent landing pose, Jim. I love the softness, it gives the image a great painterly feel. The whites look fine to me. I would like to see more room to the right.

I agree with Denise - the back of his neck looks a tad overly bright and I also would like to see more room on the right.

Lovely pose...and the processing is very unique!
