A bit of history here. Curved-billed Thrasher has been a resident here for 20 years. He lives in a Cholla Cactus, 8 feet behind where he is sitting now. He is sitting on a dead part of a Night Booming Cereus that has been growing there for over 20 years, was 15' high, and at times has had as many as 18 blooms at the same time, a neighbourhood attraction. Alas, the NB Cereus slowly died from frostbite last year, and tomorrow will be cut down and replaced with a new planting.
To celebrate I made a batch of my Famous Chocolate Chip cookies that I conncocted in 1990, has had over 10,000 downloads since I posted it here click on cookie picture in right bottom corner . . . Make yourself a batch and tell me what you think. Don't make them too small. Recipe should be no more than 24 cookies.
Comments always welcome & appreciated

Used brush strokes instead of usual oil painting in free Fotosketcher and finished up nin CS5 for texture and border
Gus, Nice pose and perch. I wish the angle weren't as steep but then we may not see the underside. The texture in the BG is not your usual beautiful painterly look. I might reduce the texture just a bit if it were mine. Thanks for the recipe. I will have to get busy and make myself a batch-or wait till Christmas next year and add it to my favorite cookie recipes! Anyway I enjoyed reading the write up-you are an amazingly talented man!!!:)
