    Hi Folks;

    Photographed this male House Sparrow surveying our garden today. Looked quite magestic perched up on his rock. Painted using free Fotosketcher after PP in LR3, and border in CS5

    Comments always welcome & appreciated

    Gus, he does look majestic surveying his domain. I love the reds and oranges which really showed a lot of different hues with the painting effect. It must have been a super image to start with:)

    I agree with Cheryl that this looks like a great image to start with. You did a great job with the effect.

    The colors reflect the part of the country you where you live.

    Gus, Beautifully done. The texture and painterly look really look good. Nice pose and just the right amount of details.:)

    Here I sit in northern Colorado surrounded by snow whites and icey blues. I had to blink twice to absorb those beautiful warm southwest tones :). I like the addition of the subtle border. Lovely.

    Beautiful Gus! Really outstanding colors and the painting is perfect. I love those warm colors for the same reason Nancy does. We don't have snow here (yet) and it hasn't been freezing cold (yet) but I'm already wishing for warmer days!

    Nice one Gus! Love the texture and pose. I used to have lots of these guys hanging around my house, but I think over the years the sharp-shinned hawks that winter around my home have wiped them out.

    Hi Gus, I love the little sparrows and this fellow is looking good. Bg colors are super as well as very complimentary to his plumage. Great job on the painting and border, as always. :cool:
