Nikon D3s, 600VR, Shutter Speed 1/640 Aperture F7.1 ISO 200 -0.3EV Bean Bag and Badger panning plate. I used lightroom to ajust levels and then done NR in PS and sharpening. Clean up BG a bit. This is my first post in the Nature section and hopefully there will be many more:) I photographed this lion in Botswana.

Hey Vivaldo, great eye contact here, and I like the walking pose with the raised paw. Good to see him out in the open, and the complimentary BG works well. The wind swept mane adds interest. Well captured.
Very fine image Vivaldo. Pose and wind blown mane are very nice. Good sharpness and color. Would make a fine vert as an additional crop. Well done.

it is really great to have you posting here Vivaldo - I know from seeing a lot of your work on other forums that you will be well received here.
this is top class light and I dig the POV. nicely composed overall and I like the windswept mane.
have you considered a slight CW rotation to make it seem more "level"? I'm referring to the eye-banks not being on the same plane of view and the fact that the ground in front of him seems to be sloping?
Vivaldo - welcome and a great first post. I love the tones, the POV and the windswept mane. I agree with Morkel that a slight cw rotation would improve it.
Thanks Morkel, I am already enjoying myself, do agree with a slight CW correction but I see one cannot edit original image here. I will try repost a copy later.
Thanks again for all coments. Russell somehow the original image I posted was not saved. The edited one is slightly different, personally I prefer the original :)
