The light was perfect when these two started their mating ritual.

Very beautiful moment captured. Both heads are clearly visible and the lighting is warm and inviting. Not sure how I feel about the branches in the foreground. Possibly a bit distracting.
Overall, I'm enjoying this one.

Gorgeous light and you caught a great pose with two good head angles and nice separation!
Nicely done!
Maybe a bit too much negative space at the top?
Fantastic light Don. Well executed.
Beautiful pose from both the birds and the eye contact is great. The light is lovely as well. I would prefer to clone out the white cloud patch to the left of the birds and just above the branch, also bring out the blue from the background sky a tiny bit by applying 2 or 3% blue photo filter. But that's just my personal taste and the image looks good as is.

Super light, colours and sharpness.

Stunning light, and well timed to capture the courting behviour. Both herons are sharp, and I like the over colours too.
Don, you nailed it!! Man that light was sweet!!! Great Job!!! Don
Such an intimate moment......
Light and inter-action are FANTASTIC. I might take some off the top.
Don:
Perfect timing, very flattering light,sharp.
I would also crop from the top, about 1/3 of the free space.
In a perfect world, would wish for fewer sticks in front, but it works well as posted.
Cheers
Randy
Excellent capture of the moment, beautiful colors and sharpness. I like this a lot.
Sweeeeeeet!!! It was great to meet you! The light was spectacular that day and the storm cloud BG was the icing on the cake!!!![]()
