From my wolf encounter last winter. Very cold with blowing wind. This beautiful former agate female gave us an opportunity I'll never forget. Hoping to make it this winter as well but looks like it will likely be spring before I make it.

Fantastic image Todd, Crop, Color balance, sharpness, everything looks great IMH.
I'm hoping to head over to YNP this spring too.

Her posture makes it look cold and windy. I really the strong diagonal line of th slope a enhances the drama of the image.

    A little cracker here Todd.

Certainly the diagonal makes this a strong image, but for me it's the texture and colours of the coat echoed in the BG colours that really stand out to me. Just a thought Todd, and this might be rather 'contrived' but I wonder if you just moved the whole comp up, so the lh diagonal hit the bottom lh corner and you had more space above. I just feel it's a little 50/50, but I still like it as presented, it's just athought?

Agree with above comments. What I like about this image is the space and the superb contrast. The wolf stand out so nicely TFS.

Todd, good diagonal line through the image, and what strikes me in this, is how similar the BG colours are to the wolf. Good to see the open mouth too.

another awesome shot from this sighting Todd! love the diagonal as mentioned, as well as the pose and complimenting BG colours.

I agree with Steve on moving the compo up and having the diagonal hit the LLC :D

Todd - it's a beauty (both image and wolf). I agree that you should try Steve's suggestion.

    Todd,

What a gorgeous shot that looks like it came from the camera of a true professional. I know how hard it is to get these shots. Fantastic.
