    Hi Folks;

    Photographed this male Lesser Goldfinch in our garden. Painted it in free Fotosketcher and finished in CS5 with stroke border.

    All comments welcome and very much appreciated.

    Have a great 2011

    Gus

    Gus, I love this image! The complementary gold and blue colors are wonderful and the bird looks so happy to pose for you - great eye contact. Perfect placement. I love how the outside of the border still has the texture. I think there might be an area just to the left of the bird's breast and neck that looks like maybe cloning repetition? Or maybe Fotosketcher did that.

    ditto on the colors and focus. Haven't used this software before, but works like this make me look forward to learning it.

    Awesome, Gus! I think this may be my new favorite of yours. :) I love the yellow of the goldfinch(my favorite color!) and the blue of the BG goes perfectly with it. Great composition, and the painting effect is stunning as always. Well done!

    Gus, I like the painterly look and I see the cloning spots that Patti is referring to. I think that the pose and the BG are super!
