Default Scarlet-chested Sunbird - juvenile feeding

Taken in the garden at home. Not a setup, just positioned myself next to some Aloes which allways attract Sunbirds. The male is a striking black bird with bright scarlet chest, hope to get some images of him some time. Female similar to Juvenile.

50D/EF500f4/f5@1/2000/iso400/EC+1. Cropped from horisontal and removed some stray grass strands. BG as shot with NR.

    C&C allways welcome.

Wonderful behavioral shot - composition is spot on.

Like the composition and eye contact. Could use a saturation boost and some additional sharpening.

Hey Pieter, you have great visitors to your garden. Comp works well, and well done for timing the feeding behaviour. With shots like this, I try and shoot vertical in camera. Cool BG. Cheers.

Lovely image Peter. I also would have used the camera vertically rather then crop later. Still like the inclusion of the flower, BG and the bird feeding :)
