I hate it when the animals talk about me as if I wasn't there! No head butting from these two but they spent a lot of time pushing on each other. I liked the look of the one on the right and the opposing curls of the horns. 7D, 1-400L @ 275mm, f6.3, 1/640, ISO 1600, handheld, removed a couple of grass stem tips, slight crop all round.

Nice moment captured Steve. Good looking rams. Looks like the yourger ram is letting the big guy know his days are numbered :D. Well done, your high iso work from cameras that are not supposed to be that great in that department is amazing. Proper exposure goes a long way!

Hey Steve, brilliant IQ here. You have come to master these guys so well recently, and this image is no exception. I really like the light and sharpness, and of course you are wondering what they are whispering about.:) Good eye contact from the one on the right.

You can have some of our sunshine anytime. Cheers.

I agree with the comments above Steve. I am interested in knowing what noise control software you might be using.

Can't fault the detail in this one Steve and has been consistent in all your postings of these animals. A nice observation about what they are up to, however I think what they were saying was 'The last guy had a Nikon'. :D

    Thanks for the comments guys.

    Robert,
I convert the RAW files with DPP and touch them up with PSE 3. NR settings in DPP are usually around 3-4 on the Luminance (with the 7D) and varies on the Color (typically 8-12). In PSE 3, I'll vary the NR adjustments for BG and subject and really have no fixed starting points for that.

    Steve,
You may be right. They were a lot more cooperative for the other guys that were there with the big black lenses :).

Really like the look the ram on the right is giving you. Great detail as well.
