Default Gannet at Sunset **copied from Avian**

Canon 40D Canon 400f.5.6 F10 1/40sec partial metering mode 430EX Flash with better beamer

I tried plenty of these shots, but this one really stood out as the best. Trying to balance the bright light from the setting sun and the use of the fill flash with the better beamer was quite tricky.

I love it! The two things that stand out for me are the wonderful color tone throughout and the fact that even with the lovely amount of blur, the eye is still quite sharp and visible.

Agree with Patti... beautiful blur with great color tone. I like those streaks of sunlight off the wing. Nicely done.

Lovely blur, Arne! The sunset colors are gorgeous. I like the sharpness of the head and the light shining off the wings.

The lighting is beautiful. I do wish the wings were fully up or down but it is lovely as presented.
