    Backyard setup, rainy, gloomy day ... I set up 2 off camera speedlites on light stands on either side of my blind, set these to 1/4 output in manual mode, triggered with TT5's

    Manual exposure
    Evaluative metering
    f/6.3
    1/320
    iso 1600

    ACR, CS5, Genuine fractals .... toned down a bright spot on the bill with soft brush and ran slight gaussian blur and NR on the BG. Removed one catchlight.

    She is a pretty one, excellent pose, sharpness and exposure.
    Perch is a bit heavy for my taste.

    I am curious about the role of genuine fractals for such a small image?

    Good flash work.

    Perch is a bit heavy for this bird, but at least it's natural. For my taste the bird looks too "flashed".

    Nice pose and sharpness looks good. Agree with perch a bit large for this bird. Not a big fan of flash for wildlife/avian so agree with the flashed look.

    I like the comp and pose, and maybe a touch more contrast will work.
