Nice colors and exposure. Would have liked some separation between the rams. As presented would take some off the top and a bit off lhs still keeping the rams to right of frame. Hope you got more of these guys, would enjoy seeing them.

Jeff, McMinn Bench is accessed at the Rattlesnake Creek TH. (2nd turnout if I remember correctly) as you enter through the N. entrance. Cross the bridge & hike south (up). 65% of YNP's big horn sheep are found on McMinn Bench.
To be honest Morkel, I am on the fence about cropping from the left & top. Everyone seems to agree with you re. the crop, but I am still conflicted. I posted this for everyone's opinions re. the crop & the lack of separation between the rams. I do like the eye peering through the front ram's curl. I have never seen an image quite like this before so I wanted others' opinions. The rams in this herd were always jostling for position & dominance over the others & I thought this image captured it quite well. This is why I titled it Triumvirate.
Thanks for you thoughts.
Hard to get good separation when they're trying to start trouble with each other. You do have visible eyes from each one and I like the one peeking through the curled horn. Being picky, it would have been cool to have the rear ram's nose visible above the back. As for the crop, I like it as presented. The little rolling hills in the BG give a sense of rising elevation and the openness of the BG shows of their seasonal battleground.
I am OK with the larger crop of the OP. I agree with Steve that the rear ram's nose above the front one would have created a less cramped up look. Doesn't sound like much but I do feel it would make a difference.
I hear what you're saying Andrew and I actually do love the fact that the one eye is visible through the front ram's curl, just forgot to mention that ;)
