Coyote cleaning up on a wolf kill made the previous night. A lone black was in the distance, cams up to edge of river and took a look and went back under his tree and slep letting 3 coyotes have at the carcass. Here is an image of the first brave 'yote, as they had to pass fairly close to where the wolf lay. He must have been full.

Like the comp Todd. Like the way you included the full creek in the image. Great action.

What a great opportunity and capture. Light seems a bit harsh but handled well. Might prefer a tighter crop, especially less of the foreground stones, if IQ is there. JR

Todd, its always good to see how nature survives in other parts of the world. What was the kill?

I like this one. Enough carcass to be interesting and a good pose by the coyote. I also like the sparkles and ripples in the creek. I can almost hear it flowing :)!

I like the feel of the rocks and stream too.

Not sure how you feel on such things Todd but I would try cloning out the bright white patch on the left most carcass.

Thanks Robert, the white is part of the paunch. Will have a look at removal or toning down a bit more, as mentioned light was harsh so it has been brought down some already.

Great capture! Really like the way he is tugging at that meat!
