    This image was taken earlier this week at a wildlife park in the Bavarian Forest National Park in Germany (http://www.nationalpark-bayerischer-..._hzw/index.htm).

    Beautiful portrait Joerg. Wonderfull setting as well. Nice and sharp, perhaps a slight boost in contrast to make the lynx pop just a bit. Well done.

    Thank you all for the kind feedback. Todd, I intentionally held back on boosting the contrast of the lynx as I thought the posted image better reflects the subdued colors of the overcast snowy day. JR

    Nicely framed here Joerg, and I like the pose and eye contact. The falling snow and snow droplets on the lynx's head really adds interest to the image. Well captured.

    Joerg,

    That may be true, but we as humans are drawn to contrast and a slight contrast boost generally registers well with many viewers.

    For me I think the Lynx needs a bit more sharpening.

    Beautiful cat. Lovely calm pose. Super photo with nice fur detail. Thanks Joerg for posting the link to the park's location. When I move to Europe in a few years time I may have to pop over to Bavaria to scout some lynx photos.
